Electrical Muscle Stimulation, commonly called EMS, uses gentle electrical impulses to stimulate muscles and nerves. Small electrodes are placed on the skin near the area being treated, causing the muscles to contract and relax.

EMS is often used alongside chiropractic treatment for muscle tightness, spasms, and discomfort, particularly following an injury. It can also help activate muscles during certain types of rehabilitation. The level of stimulation can be adjusted for each patient's comfort. When muscles are tight or irritated, EMS provides chiropractors with another non-invasive tool to help address the muscular side of pain and recovery.
